Built On Glass

Chet Faker

I nodded my head so much I had to put it in this list. My girlfriend attended me on this Singer–Songerwriter & DJ—that deserves mentioning.

Our Love

Caribou

Only knowing it’s predecessor Swim, Caribou surprised me with this rich and dark electro. Between my favorite electro of the year.

They Want My Soul

Spoon

After their disappointing last album from 2010, They Want My Soul’s Spoon sounds like one of my favorite bands again.

Lost in the Night

Palace

Only a 5 song EP and a late discovery—3 weeks ago. But nonetheless a very much deserved spot due to their warm theatrical outbursts.

Atlas

Real Estate

Somewhat more dull than their debut, but I don’t care. I’m a dork for Real Estate.

This Is All Yours

Alt–J

This is All Yours’ sound is something different. I wasn’t a fan in the beginning, but after listening to it time after time I still discover new dimensions.

Lost In The Dream

The War On Drugs

I was looking forward to this album since early 2013, and it lived up to it’s expectations.

Salad Days

Mac Demarco

While this album is more on the downside, his second one still has a solid sound with catchy tunes. Bonuspoints for his liveshow.

Singles

Future Islands

Struck my attention with his awkward dance and voice at the Letterman Show. Because it’s one of the few bands in this list I discovered this year ánd because of it’s weirdness, number one.
